Welcome to Ancestor’s Circle: A Gathering Place for Memory, Story, and Soul
What if there were a place—off social media, away from the noise—where stories from the past found new life?
Where memory wasn’t just a whisper or a photograph in a drawer, but something shared, celebrated, and built upon?
That’s why I created Ancestor’s Circle.
It’s not just a blog. It’s not just a group. It’s a space woven into the heart of AncestorStories.org—a community where we can come together to reflect on where we come from, and who we’re becoming because of it.
🌿 What Can We Share in Ancestor’s Circle?
-
Stories of our ancestors—the ones who shaped us, inspired us, or simply left us wondering.
-
Photos—old family portraits, gravestone markers, handwritten recipes, heirlooms with a tale.
-
Reflections—on grief, discovery, mystery, or those uncanny moments of feeling “connected.”
-
Research wins (and roadblocks!)—we know genealogy is a puzzle. Share your brick walls, triumphs, or a newly discovered 5th cousin once removed.
-
Cultural traditions—what was passed down in your family? Foods, phrases, blessings, beliefs?
Whether your roots stretch through Ireland’s misty hills, Africa’s ancestral villages, Appalachian hollers, or desert homesteads—you are welcome here.
This is a circle of storykeepers, memory-holders, and soulful travelers.
🛠️ Why I Built This Space
I’ve spent years collecting stories—my own, my family’s, and the ones nearly lost to time. I’ve seen how powerful it is when we put those stories into words, photos, and shared space.
So I invested in the full community tools—groups, private messaging, photo uploads, comment threads, and more—to give us a gathering place that’s not run by algorithms or ads.
Just people, presence, and the past coming to life again.
💬 You’re Invited
Your stories don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to be a writer or a genealogist. You just have to be human.
Start with one post. Share a photo. Comment on someone else’s memory. Let this be a circle where we gather the old threads and weave something lasting.
This is our fire circle, our kitchen table, our long porch swing of remembering.

My Dad never knew who his dad was and I have spent 30+ years trying to unravel a mystery that still has no answers. I have done my DNA, posted on many websites and had doors closed in my face. My Dad would be 127 years old and I can no fathom how the answer to my quest could be so devastating to anyone.
